Accentuated Beauty

Hello hello to all of my wonderful design loves out there! I'm sorry I've been so sporadic with my blog posts recently, I am still adjusting to my working schedule but I think I'm finally getting the hang of it so you should be hearing from me on a much more regular schedule! This week, I was inspired by a multitude of different accents and accessories that I wanted to share with y'all...A simple headboard, door handle, wall, or even a chandelier can be absolutely stunning when taken and made into a beautiful piece of art.  Accessories have the power to take a well designed room and turn it into something truly beautiful, remarkable, fun, even unexpected! So I have a great collection of some examples of these kinds of accessory pieces that have the power to do just that. I have absolutely fallen in love with them... And I hope you do too! Pretty in Pink

Hello, my lovely design loves! I am so excited to be in the wonderful month of August- it is my birthday month after all :) And so, in honor of that I wanted to share some pretty and pink inspiration with y'all this week. Working as a professional designer, I meet people everyday who think they need to stick to the formal (and not-to-mention stiff!) ways of interior design's past. Design is more than just beige walls and boring couches. Design is about having fun, and expressing yourself through rooms and pieces that bring out the true you... In ways that only design has the ability to. That being said, this week I am excited to share a little fun you can have with your home. Unexpected Glamour

Hello, my wonderful design loves! I have been keeping very busy with work this past month, but somehow I've found a few minutes where I can spend some quality time with my keyboard and bring y'all a fun new blogpost this week... In the design profession, I am constantly studying rooms and furniture so it is really exciting when I find a space that is truly unique. Taking a great piece and creating a design that is unexpected is one of the reasons I love doing what I do, and this week I've collected a group of images that demonstrate that design philosophy. The images below show how the designers that created them went above and beyond to make their room stand out, and to make us as viewers do a double take. In these images, you can see how unexpected colors like pink sofas and chairs, furry pillows or rugs, and even glamorous chandeliers and lighting, make these rooms shine. Tufted Glory

Hello hello, my design loves!! This week, it seems like everywhere I look I am seeing tufts! I just can't seem to get enough of them, although if I'm being honest... I can never really get enough of tufted furniture! Tufting adds a little extra glam and oomph to the piece of furniture, and really makes you do a double-take when you look at a space. So this week, I have a collection of some of my favorite examples of tufting for your visual pleasure... These pieces are true examples of how beautiful pieces can be transformed into something truly extraordinary with just a little something extra. Palette Trends

Hello my design loves, and welcome to the summer season!!! I hope y'all have all been doing well these past few weeks, I can't wait to show you some of the things I've been working on! One of the questions I get asked most often is suggestions for paint colors, so this week I want to go through what a successful palette looks like for today's home! Some people gravitate towards brighter colors, while others prefer a softer look. Whatever your taste, the key to a beautiful paint palette is flow! Also, it is generally a good idea to create a softer background as a backdrop for your home, and then you can experiment more with colors as accents. Being a girl of neutrals, I am definitely one to gravitate towards a softer palette but if you would like suggestions for your own home please feel free to ask!
